Holiday For The Animals

December 15, 2007 - The Children of the Earth Foundation, a non-profit organization that focuses on children and Earth awareness through a variety of year-round programs, has scheduled its 8th Annual Holiday for the Animals for Saturday Dec. 15 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. at the Joseph Citta Boy Scout Camp 229 Brokville rd. in Brookville, NJ 08005. The event is open to the public.

Tom Brown Jr., who runs the nationally acclaimed Tracker School, a tracking, nature and wilderness survival school based in the Pine Barrens, founded COTEF several years ago. Families, scout and youth groups, and other organizations are invited to attend this free event.

Representatives of COTEF, along with Tom, will assist the children in preparing and presenting tasty Holiday gifts to the animals, such as birds and deer. Nature stories will be told and other activities are planned. Refreshments will be available for the children.

“Let’s not forget our animal friends this holiday season,” — Rick Berry, Program Director of COTEF. “Join us for an afternoon of having fun and giving back to the animals. Gathering around the fire we will share stories and learn about being a caretaker of the Earth.”

Those people wishing to attend simply need to phone the COTEF office, (609) 971-1799, and let them know how many people are coming in each group. To learn more about COTEF, visit www.cotef.org
