Summer Opportunities at Cotef

Information for the 2011 season is now available.

Is it time for you to pass your skills on to one more person?

We need dedicated, passionate staff to share the skills of living close to the Earth. Join us for the Summer of 2011 to make it our most successful yet. Whatever your skill level, please take a look at the descriptions below and fill in an application form.

Please note the application deadline for summer positions is Tuesday, March 1, 2011.  Staff training week begins Sunday, June 26th, 2011.

SUMMER POSITIONS:

Assistant Director- Camp Logistics
Assistant Director is responsible for the general health and safety of the Coyote Tracks Program including administering medications and providing general fist aid. The position is also responsible for a number of camp logistics including chore rotations, transportation and office responsibilities

Head Cook
Head Cook is responsible for creating menus, ordering food, preparing and cooking meals for 30 to 80 people and coordinating volunteers for kitchen help.

Head Instructor
Responsible for the implementation of the Coyote Tracks Program for a group of two to fourteen youth or teens. Implementation includes; running program activities, group management, risk management and providing leadership to the group teaching team. 

Instructor
Responsible for the implementation of the Coyote Tracks Program for a group of two to fourteen youth or teens. Implementation includes; running program activities guided by Head Instructor, preparing materials for group activities, and supervision of students.

Instructor in Training (volunteer position)
Responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Coyote Tracks Program for a group of two to fourteen youth or teens. Implementation includes preparing materials for group activities, supervision of students, instruction of skills, working with group dynamics to ensure the best learning flow, and assisting with special projects.

Intern  (volunteer position) Under 18's
Responsible for assisting in the implementation of the Coyote Tracks Program for a group of two to fourteen youth or teens. Implementation includes preparing materials for group activities, assisting with the supervision of students, Fire Keeper duty, adventure tasks, HOSSA and general up-keep of camp. Limited to 2 weeks duration.

Volunteer Over 18's
Same duties as intern above.
