Family, Youth and Teen Experience- British Columbia, Canada

Program Description:

This is a week-long adventure in learning about nature and the art of survival. You’ll experience the wonder of making fire without matches, creating a shelter that’s warm and safe, moving through the woods and silently approaching an animal. This is an amazing experience in which you’ll connect with nature in a new and powerful way. All skills are taught entirely through hands on and experiential learning techniques. This transformative experience is something treasured by the whole family.

Ages and Prerequisites: Families with children age 7-17, and youth and teens age 10-17

This program is designed for families to attend together and is open for youth, age 10-12 and teens age 13-17, to attend without an adult. Children are divided into age group learning teams and some activities are done with the entire group.  Teens will take the skills further and begin the journey into wilderness, learning about their own unique gifts and how they can bring them back to society.  In addition to having their own adventures, parents and adults engage in a week long workshop in the basics of “Coyote Teaching”-the methods behind what is being taught.
