The Children of the Earth Foundation (COTEF) is a non-denominational educational non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization.  It was created by Tom Brown, Jr. in 2001 as an opportunity to offer his Tracker School teachings to children and families.  We are committed to hands on learning activities through the ancient art and science of tracking, awareness, and wilderness living skills.

Real experience.  Lasting results.
A guided adventure through the forgotten arts of tracking, nature awareness, and wilderness survival living.

COTEF Changes Lives:

  • Concentric Rings Update

This autumn, COTEF has been running concentric rings programs in New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and Pennsylvanian for private groups such as homeschool groups, school groups and Boy Scout Troops.  They have been tremendously successful programs for all participants!  Recently, Scout Troop 86 from NJ had a weekend wilderness survival skills program.  They built a waterproof debris hut, made fire from the landscape, tracked deer, made stone tools and much more.

Concentric Rings programs are powerful learning experiences which seek to foster positive associations with being outdoors while simultaneously teaching ancestral skills.  These programs are tailored to each individual group and are unique.  Additionally, any student who has participated in a Concentric Rings program will receive a 10% discount on their first Coyote Tracks class.
